oops!

OMGoodness!! I can't believe I have not posted in over two months... I got hooked on Swap-bot and have been crafting away. I have also temporarily misplaced my camera. I will try to get back into the groove, especially now that I have something special to craft for (more details on that soon...:) ) I have some projects in progress. I made a baby blanket and hat, but didn't take a picture (stupid me). Anyways, I am still here. Stay tuned for some really big news!!!

My Addiction and the Enablers

I have become addicted to yarn lately. If a store has a yarn section, I just have to swing through it. Well a few a weeks ago, I had a birthday and my friends (enablers) bought me this:This bag is full of yarn. There is at least twenty skeins. No joke...

FABRIC and a Decision

Last weekend I went to this little fabric store in Duncanville called Pursley's. When I was a kid, there was a Pursley's in the town where my nanny lived. I hated going in there. It was so boring to me. Well while I was in there, I asked the lady running it -if this store was affiliated with the other one. And it is. Too cool. The one in my nanny's town is closed.

Anyways, this little fabric store is too cute. One side of it is new clothing, and the other is fabric and notions. It is very old school. No computerized tickets. Everything is still handwritten on a paper ticket. Buttons are sold separately and are priced 5-25 cents a piece. I found this Alexander Henry print. It has 1994 on the selvage. It is cute!!

Now for the decision. I want to make something really cute out of it, but can't decide. I have narrowed down my choices to Mccalls M5112 View C (but with shorter sleeves) and Simplicity 2889 View B.

My Birthday Books

My hubby is a great guy...He kept asking me what I wanted for my birthday. I kept telling him I didn't know or didn't care (depending on what day I was having). Finally, I told him to just take me to the bookstore. He listened and bought me two AWESOME books.

Finally some pics from our Vacation

A couple of weeks ago, my family and I ran away for a week to Turner Falls in Davis, OK. I went there as a kid and loved it. My parents always said we would go back. But we never did.

But I did and had a blast!!! We rented a cabin for the week.
Played in the creek.
Roasted marshmallows. We had to drive over this small fall every time we left the park. The kids thought that was too cool.
